Kalamazoo River – Mosherville, Michigan

On this day, my wife and I went on a kayaking date. This was a stretch I did earlier in the season, but was impressed that the water was much clearer. We went from Goose Lake Road in Hanover to 29 Mile road. After we passed Twin Pines campground, the trip became more difficult as the river hadn’t been serviced lately (some windfall to contend with) and the water level was lower, causing us to be careful to paddle in deeper sections of the river. We saw numerous deer playing in the water as well as huge fish and some blue herrings in several spots.
